Close Up: Gypsy Feather

Nicole Richie wore her Gypsy feather necklace on the sixth episode of season two of NBC's Fashion Star. She paired her necklace with an elegant Etro black velvet dress. Amaze!

This past Sunday was my birthday and I was ecstatic when I opened my gifts and saw this piece in its box! This piece is absolutely amazing! It really brings out an outfit.

This year one of the trends making their way back is the 1990s! A piece in particular are a pair of cut out boots designed by Balenciaga. I spotted these boots on Nicole Richie back in November 2012. I was a little skeptical of these at first. I thought how could these look cute?! But after seeing them on many celebs including Mary-Kate Olsen, Nina Dobrev and Rashida Jones my feelings started to change for these masculine biker boots. I began to feel inspired.

I asked on Twitter if anyone knew where I could purchase some of these boots. My follower Anna @BPanq was so kind enough to send me a few links of inspired boots similar to the famous Balenciaga ones. And for all under $200, these are certainly a steal; compared at $1,275!

QVC vs Winter Kate

Nicole just launched more pieces for her QVC line, The Nicole Richie Collection. In a post I did last year, I talked about how some pieces reminded me of items from her Winter Kate collection. For this collection that inspiration was there again. Nicole was looking super cute in a blouse, shorts and cut out Balenciaga boots! This look will definitely be on my list for a look for less so, keep an eye out!

The QVC pieces are definitely moderately prices to The Winter Kate line! Don't you agree?

Leoparding Out

Nicole recently posted this photo of herself on her Instagram account.

Such a beautiful photo! I happened to repost it, and one of my followers Angela asked if I could do a look for less.

A leopard printed piece is such a statement item and it looks great with a skirt or jeans!

I have no idea how Nicole paired her leopard blouse since the photo is from the chest up. But I do believe Nicole would have styled it with a maxi skirt like I did!! Nicole is wearing her famous Tom Ford fedora and she added a vintage Chanel dog chain as a necklace!

All you need is a animal print blouse, layered jewelry with a cute black fedora to recreate Nicole's look!

I believe Nicole's blouse is by Dolce and Gabbana but here are some great alternative leopard printed blouses!
