Out with CC

My mom and I took a little trip to Washington DC. And of course we had to do a little shopping. Luckily, we found a Nordstrom Rack and a Bloomingdale's in the area. I scored a House of Harlow 1960 bracelet for $18 and a WK blouse for $99!

My outfit of choice while out in DC was a Winter Kate piece I picked up at TJMaxx the week before. The best thing was it was on sale! The Condor cardigan in floral was only... $12!!! I was super excited and I couldn't pass up such a great bargain!

I have been eyeing the House of Harlow 1960 Chelsea sunglasses for ages now. And really wanted to invest in a pair. But since most places were out of stock, I decided to check Amazon. Through a boutique called Shop Adorn located in Portland, Oregon I was able to find my Chelsea sunnies! The staff there was super friendly and I received my package within a few days of placing my order. Shop Adorn thank you so much for my amazing sunglasses I love them!

A few months back I purchased the Winter Kate 'Mulberry' Tunic at TJMaxx. I love this blouse! It's so versatile because it's long enough to wear as a tunic with leggings. BUT you can also wear it tucked into jeans or shorts. And the print...LOVE!!

Customized

Nicole Richie was spotted with an amazing customized Levi's denim jacket made by Creative Violence.

While I was flipping through a US Weekly magazine I came across an article on how to create Nicole's custom jacket for less. I followed the step by step directions that were given so I could create my own version. Please note this is very time consuming and takes patience. But it's well worth it in the end!
Some of the materials you will need to make your very own custom jacket:

1) Fabric dye (use a dark color)
2) Fabric and Fabric glue
3) Stencils and Fabric paint (optional)
4) Studs
5)Jean Jacket

Here is my version:

Instead of a back patch, which was used for Nicole's jacket I bought a t-shirt at Target and glued it on. Have fun with this part, you really personalize this jacket with your favorite band, show, or school name!
